DREAM CUP SOLAR CAR RACE SUZUKA 2003
From July25th to 27th, The Yomiuri Shimbun, Suzuka Circuitland co., ltd. and Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) will hold "FIA ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES CUP DREAM CUP SOLAR CAR RACE SUZUKA 2003" at Suzuka Circuit in Mie prefecture.
The Dream Cup began in 1992, aiming at making eco-friendly automobiles, which runs with clean and infinite solar energy. This race, which is the only solar car race in Japan held at an international race circuit, is highly supported and acknowledged by various fields and many participants in Japan. Internationally, it is praised highly by FIA and other related organizations. Last year, the race attracted 90 teams, including two teams from Australia.
Imagination, technology, strength, judgement, team work, and many other abilities are essential to design, produce, and to run a solar car using solar batteries for power. We hope in putting together ability and wisdom to build a dream car, the participants of each team will feel the joy of developing a new technology, and to grow the spirit of challenge and research.
It is our wish that all participants do their best to create their dream car as a team. We look forward to seeing exciting race which heats up the circuit evermore in this coming summer.
